Puzzle Trooper was the first mobile game project that I worked on in Gumi Asia and was a mobile card collection game with some puzzle elements in it. I was in charge of creating animation assets for the game, and as time goes by, I also started refining the animation production pipeline of the game. The animations were created in Adobe Flash (now Adobe Animate).

The full suite of animations required for one unit in Puzzle Trooper. Featured here is Geri Pepper, from the "Spicy Strike Girls" series (a character who is later brought into Brave Frontier Global).

"The Wolf" Jackman Unit. From left to right: Idle animation, Idle 2 animation, Run state, Normal Attack, Hurt state and the Special Attack.

The theme of the game centered on military warfare and there are 5 factions, each representing an element. The character arts were created by the concept artists and  then passed on to us animators, who would splice up the character into parts and move them in Flash.
Each character has 6 states altogether and each animation is a unique take. There were up to 300 characters in the game and I took on about 100+ of them. Below is a small selection of animations I've created:
The game has ceased operations since 2017 but the art of this game still lives on in its wikipedia and youtube pages, for anyone interested in the quirky world created by a bunch of passionate artists:
